Edgar
S. Groves, Director
Since 1995, Mr. Edgar S. Groves has been music director and conductor of the Chorale. His name is synonymous with excellent choral music in the Shenango Valley.
For more than 30 years, he was choral director at Hickory High School, during which time his choral program grew to be one of the best high school programs in Pennsylvania. In 2009, Groves was one of seven inaugural inductees to the Pennsylvania Music Educators Association's (PMEA) Hall of Fame.
He is an adjunct professor at Westminster College, where he teaches Choral Methods and Ethno Music. Mr. Groves has been a visiting instructor at the following institutions: Edinboro University of PA, Youngstown State University, Grove City College and Penn State Shenango.
He has served as guest conductor at choral festivals in Pennsylvania, Ohio, New York, Vermont, Virginia and Colorado and has been a guest lecturer at numerous clinics.
Mr. Groves earned a BS degree from Indiana University of PA and an MS from Westminster College. He has been recognized by the Pennsylvania House and Senate for service to education and has been listed in Who's Who in Music and Who's Who Among America's Teachers.
He has been on the faculty of the Pennsylvania Governors Schools for Excellence and was a finalist for Pennsylvania Teacher of the Year.

Tina Greig, Accompanist
Mrs. Tina Greig has been the Shenango Valley Chorale's accompanist since 2004. She is a summa cum laude graduate of Grove City College, where she received a bachelor of music degree.
For 17 years, Mrs. Greig taught vocal music at the elementary, middle, and high school levels in the Marshall County School District in West Virginia, and in the Kane and Mercer Area School Districts in Pennsylvania.
Mrs. Greig received a master’s degree in secondary counseling at Westminster College, and since 1998 has been the middle school counselor and student assistance coordinator in the Mercer School District. During her years at Mercer Schools, Mrs. Greig has also served as a forensics coach, musical director, class advisor, mentor teacher, and a member of the I.U.4 school evaluation
team.
Mrs. Greig is a member of Phi Delta Kappa, the American School Counselor’s Association, and the Association for Educational Leadership. She has been named to Who’s Who Among American Teachers, Outstanding Young Women of America, and Who’s Who Among Business and Professional Women. Mrs. Greig is a past recipient of the Jaycee’s Outstanding
Educator Award and the Phi Delta Kappa Henderson Scholarship for graduate studies
Mrs. Greig, a Mezzo Soprano, also sings with the Chorale's Madrigal Singers.
